Inspired by Nature
I am a part of a group that has Challenges. This week you needed to do a project that looks aged. I love these kind of cards! I just hope that my card fits the profile! You too can join this group! It used to be exclusively for Demonstrators, but just recently they have opened it up for others!! You can find the group here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/latenightstampersconvention2008/ If you do not see the 'Join Group' button, go to bottom of the page and email the address where it says to 'subscribe'. I think you will enjoy this group, they use all Stampin' Up! product and if you have ever thought of doing a business where you LOVE what you do, and are able to make some money at it this group will help you!! The only thing I ask is if you are one of my customers please let them know when you introduce yourself that you tell them that I am your demonstrator!
And NOTHING would make you EVER leave me! LOL Just kidding.....mostly!
On to the card I made!! I used my favorite set (well....one of them....I have several!) Inspired by Nature. This set is so easy to make a great card with! In fact I have never seen a bad handmade card using this set!
The cardstock I used is Chocolate Chip (base), Bravo Burgandy (next layer), and then a layer of Choc. Chip and Always Artichoke with Very Vanilla. I used the SU! cutter kit to distress each edge, and rubbed each darker piece of cardstock with the ink pad that was the color of the cardstock. I just like the way it looks when I do that. In this card it kind of looks like wood grain!
I used the 'Sanded background stamp' for the flower piece to give it a little more distressed look. The colors for the flowers are Ruby Red and Always Artichoke. For the tag I used the Brand New 'Lots of Tags' for the Big Shot. Love it!
So? What do you think? Is it distressed enough!
Reminder! Monday (March 16th) I have TWO classes! One is the one that is usually on the first Monday of each month (it was postponed due to snow). We will do THREE projects at the Senior Center downstairs in the Kernersville Library. The Second class is immediately after the first class and we will be doing 3 great cards using punches. You really won't want to miss either one! The 2nd class price is $10.00. The first one is a Hostess class (anyone is welcome to come) and you can either pay $4.00 for the product used or you can place an order that will go towards the Hostess' total. When you place an order you get the class for FREE! All my classes have a 'flyer' that has a picture of each project and everything you will need listed on other side to re make any of the projects!!
As always please let me know if you are coming so I can have everything cut and ready for you!
Have a Great Stamping Day!!
