Kristi's Wedding Invitations

Lately you would think I only have ONE child!  I have been working a lot on Kristi's scrapbook and I have also been working on her wedding invitations.  Today we will be looking at her wedding invitations, and I promise I will move onto scrapbooking my other kids too.

Kristi came over last weekend and we spent Friday night and all day Saturday (with a break to go to the mall to pick up bridal presents) working on these invitations.  They came out Fantastic!   She was happy and I was happy too!   She is sending out 120 invitations to her wedding so we needed to make that many.  WOW!   It was a lot of work, but it was a work of love.

I used the Sizzix with the embossing folder Elegant Bouquet from SU! and I embossed each envelope flap, and the front of the wedding invitations as well as the front of the response card.  That means I ran through the Sizzix 480 pieces of paper!   And if I do say so myself.............they are AWESOME!!     Here is a look at the envelope flaps:

This is how both envelopes look.  I LOVE how they came out!!!

This is the front of the invitation.  Red is the color she has for her wedding party, and we put black on the back to give it some POP and because  the groomsmen that aren't in their Dress Blues will be wearing black.

Here is the inside, each piece of Vellum was sent through the printer, and since it stays wet for a while, we embossed each sheet and then cut it into four.   On the inside cover we embossed the Marine Corp Insignia, cool right?!

Here is a closer look to how the ribbon was put on.  We sponged around the entire vellum piece and then embossed that too, this let us adhere the vellum where you won't see the tape.

This is the smaller response card where we also ran it through the Sizzix.

And finally this is the inside of the response card.  We changed the printing after this one to be bigger but Kristi took those with her, so just imagine it a little bigger.

So, there you have it!  These invites were handmade with LOVE and they look professional too!

Have a Great Stamping Day!
