Watercolor Trio and Blog Candy
Today I have a handmade card that I made using the Top Note from the Big Shot (Sizzix)! I love the top note, and wanted to pop it up on my card and have the card be somewhat masculine. This card turned out pretty well, I wanted to use the new colors (coming tomorrow in my mail!) but didn't want to wait for the inks, so made do with the ONE sheet I had of the new colors.
SU! send us Demonstrators all the new sheets so we can see what they are! I love SU!
When sponging the Top Note I used Really Rust (retiring) to make the sides darker. I used Chocolate Chip for the flowers and the Sentiment. Under the Sentiment I stamped some flowers lightly (stamped off) using Really Rust to give some dimension. I also did Direct to Paper with the Chocolate Chip around the sentiment to add dimension to that also. I used dimensionals (A MUST!) to pop up both the Top Note and the Sentiment. And to bring it all together I wrapped some Chocolate Chip ribbon around the Top Note. What do you think? Is this a masculine card?

Forgot to tell you that behind the Top Note is a piece of Early Espresso to bring out the Cajun Craze color. You can begin ordering these colors on July 1st!!

I really like to the top note, too. And I love this stamp set.
Your card pops, I really like how it all flowed together.
