Organizing my colors and Blog Candy!

Today I sat down and printed off some labels for my new colors.  I also scanned the new colors from the New Catalog so I could put them on my Color Caddy and remember which color goes with each family.
I scanned each color family and then cut in half the strip of colors and placed them on some cardstock.  I then punched out little circles from the cardstock that I had, using the 1/2" circle.  I placed these over the ones I scanned (my scanner didn't scan the pages true to color, so I wanted to have them be true.  If you do this, you can always do the marker (if you don't have the paper, or you can leave it blank until you do).  Here is a picture of the page that I scanned:

And here is how I made it into something that goes over my colors on my color caddy:

And here is what it looks like on the caddy, so you can see how I did it:

This way you can keep track of each color, and when putting them away, you can see at a glance where they belong!!

And for each ink pad I had a sticker saying the name and what family it belonged to!  Pretty cool, right?

For the paper I took the labels and put them on file folder tabs and wired them to my wire paper holders.  This way my paper too can be organized and I can see at a glance which ones I am running out of.  For my scraps, I have file folders in a filing cabinet and those too have labels, and I turn to those first when doing a project.  That way I use up all my scraps, and don't cut a full piece of paper until I have to.

Here are the order numbers and info so you can make your own colors be organized!!
