Animal Stories and Blog Candy!

Today I am sharing a card that I made with my girlfriend Peggy.  She came in from Wilmington and stamped with us!  This is one of her shoebox swap cards.

We used our brayer with some rubber bands wrapped around it.  We then LIGHTLY brayered over the Bashful Blue ink and went over the White paper, we then used a different brayer with rubberbands (smaller ones) and went over the Crushed Curry ink pad.  This is a wonderful technique and can be used for a lot of backgrounds.  I have used it in the past when doing a water theme, and this could be done with blues and greens to simulate seaweed.   Try it out sometime!

I like the idea of the rubber bands with different colored inks to use as a backgound. At first I thought you were highligting one of the embossing folders. Will have to try it but with something other than the stamp you selected. If you did a bird, could even simulate winter with some dazzling diamond accents. I bet you could even do the design corner to corner in opposite directions and it would be cool too.
