Thanksgiving Page - New Technique!!

Life got away from me, it's been almost TWO months since I posted last!  Oh My Goodness, I was on a roll and then I had a bunch happen all at once!!

Let's see........I broke my foot in October, went to Disney World in a wheelchair came home and had a complete Hysterectomy!  That was 6 weeks ago on Thursday!   I did what the Dr's said and did nothing for the first 3 weeks and then I S-L-O-W-L-Y got started again!  I did a class on the 4th week and thought I was going to pass out from being so tired!   I went to Nashville TN for Leadership last week and have had a class this week, and I feel SOOOO much better!!!

I hope you all come back now that I am back!

I wanted to show you this Double Scrapbook page!  I had too many pictures to keep it to one, so I made two!
It's Thanksgiving 2003 (I KNOW, I am WAYYY behind!!), and all my kids (five) came home (and my SIL came too!!) and because this wasn't our Christmas to have them home we put up our Christmas tree so at least they could decorate with us and then we celebrated Thanksgiving!

I really love how these pages came together!!  I got this idea for the Titles to stamp them in Craft Bravo Burgundy, then emboss them.  And then I came in with the White Gel Pen and made highlights on only one side of the letters!  For the first page the 'light source' came in from the right, so I only highlighted that side, and for the second page I did the left side!  My thought was the 'light source' was coming in from the middle of them both.  I think it really made it cool!!  Here  is a close up of the lettering:

Isn't that cool!?    I also used on the pages the stamp set Autumn Days #120000.  I stamped them using the Craft Burgundy and embossed them.   I also used the stamp set Cute by the Inch a Hostess Set #120130, it is a level 2.

Here are the two pages together:

Here is a bigger picture, but I couldn't put them side by side.  I wanted you to see the details.

The funny thing about the second page is I have a picture of my youngest (then 3) and from the time she came home from the Hospital, she would do these leg lifts.  Whenever she would get tired or stressed there she would be doing these crunches!  My son is copying her in the picture, you just can't see him doing the crunches.    I covered up with another picture where her undies are showing, figured she wouldn't appreciate it if I showed everyone!!

If you are here looking at my post, THANK YOU for sticking with me!  And if you are new to my blog, I promise you won't have to wait as long to see a new post!  That is for you that have been with me too!

I would love to see some of your scrapbook pages!

Have a Great Stamping Day!
